Sweet Surrender

I have the hardest time coming up with clever blog titles. That's not what I wanted to talk about though.

As I'm blogging Sister (Brett) is playing TaySwifts Fairytale for me. It's one of my favorite things about being home, the bonding time I get with my sisters and parents. It's bittersweet. I guess knowing that i'm getting married soon and won't be seeing my family as much makes this all so important and special to me. The other day my daddy took me on one of my last daddy/daughter dates and I teared up a little bit. I'm so beyond ready to take this next step in my life , but i'm not ready to let go of what I have. As Brittany Spears put it , " I'm not a girl , not yet a woman."

Anyways... to continue on with sappy Afton moments ( i'm sorry , it's just the extremely high amounts of hormones racing through my body , thanks to being a girl and birth control. I've decided I dislike BC , but I dislike unplanned pregnancy more , so I deal. ) TMI , sorry. Back to the subject...

I was scrapbooking engagement pictures last night. Scrapbooking is my new favorite past time. I'm getting good at it too! Anywas as I was looking at the scrapbook and the pictures I thought how cool it is that i'm giving my children , and grandchildren , and great grandchildren this blessing. This book to look back at and say " these were my grandparents etc. " I think that's so cool. That future generations will have this . What a blessing that is. So many great memories are stored in that book. Those memories will be preserved forever and my future generations will be able to share in all those memories.

Also 4 weeks until I move back out to Utah to be with Gregg. I was talking to him last night and telling him how I wished the next 4 weeks would go by faster. Gregg asked if I had anything to keep me busy. I replied well I have my grandparents in town till the 8th , then I have my Bridal shower on the 11th. That alone will put us 2 weeks into it. After that I'll be busy packing what seems like my whole life up. Things are happening sooo fast. Tonight alone I have my interview with the stake president to get his signature for my temple recommend. Then i'll be done with that. It's crazy to think how fast this is creeping up on me.

Oh and my new calling! On Sunday I will officially be the new Relief Society Chorister! I'm super excited to have a calling I will enjoy for all of one month. Oh well , 1 month is better than nothing right ? I have to go now though. Got to find the website for the Bridesmaids hair accessories. Okay , love ya'll lots. BYE

Sunday Social

Oh wow today was... good. Hot but good. My dads parents left our house this morning at the crack o' dawn. It was nice to see them for a few days though and get some nice hand me down clothes :) We left for church where I finally got a calling. ( A month before I move back to Utah. really ?) I'll tell you guys what it is next week. I'm super excited about it though.

My friend from when we were knee high to a grasshopper was at church today visiting her family. She's married and I haven't seen her in forever ( you know how it goes. you get married you drop of the planet.) So it was super nice catching up. I still love that girl more than anything and i'm thinking we need to talk more often.

Then I came home and took a lovely nap. Okay not lovely because I was sweating but it was actually pretty good in a murder-mystery dream way. I absolutely love when my dreams take me on adventures. This one was good too. Walking around a church solving a murder mystery and getting wedding gifts rocks my world.

Then I woke up and well , I miss Gregg. SO MUCH. It gets harder and harder to be away from him everyday. Which is weird because before he came to visit we're like yeah I miss you , but not super bad. At least that's the vibe I got. I guess because the wedding is getting closer and what not things are getting harder. Mostly for me it's because I miss being able to cuddle him and tell him everything. He's my best friend and I miss him a lot.

Anyways. That's me. Missing my best friend. Waiting on a call to set up an appointment with the stake president. Waiting. Always waiting.

Today Shall go down in blogger history as the day that Shae Audrey graduated high school. My cousin graduated with honors from her high school yesterday. I was so proud and may or may not have cried just a little bit. It's so crazy that we're all growing up so fast. In 2 years my baby sister will graduate too. That was graduation though.

Yesterday also , We brought Gregg's ring. We went to the Mart of Atlanta and after walking around a few stores we found Gregg a $200 dollar ring. Since we were buying it at the mart buyers price ( The price actual stores buy them at ) It would originally cost us $89 dollars. Thanks to my mothers AMAZING bargaining price we got it at $64 dollars plus tax. Yeah my mom is awesome like that. Take that all you future brides !

Also our invitations came in the mail and now I have the fun job of addressing every. single. one. 9 down , 241 to go. well 240 , since I screwed up one envelope already. HAHAH. Anyways. I should probably jump on that. Among other things. So yeah. I'm gonna go. LOVE YOU !!

Hello Again!

Hello my friends! Sorry it took so long for me to get back on this blog. Blogger decided to have some issues and I had to post on my old blog. So if you want to know what was going on in my life between the creation of this blog and now , my old blog would be the place to go :)

In most recent news , there are 71 days till I become Mrs. Gregg Brinkerhoff. It's exciting and crazy for me to think about. Tomorrow I'm going shopping for his wedding band and i'm a little bit excited. I talk to Gregg almost every night and we get so excited by the thought that our wedding is creeping up on us so quickly.

Also I will most likely be moving out to Utah as of July 1st. I was going to go out there and just visit for a week or two , fly back , then move out there the last week of July , but Gregg is amazing and says that he can get me a job a chrysallis and that I can start training the first of July and when we get our apt. ( again the first week or so of July ) I'll move into that and work for Augusts rent until we are married.

So life on my end is slowly coming together. My Bridal shower is going to be on June 11th so that gives me something to look forward to. Also we'll be making the bouquets and boutonnieres this week. Wedding invitations will be arriving any day now. Anyways. I guess I should go be a normal person for a little bit. It was great talking to ya'll though!! keep in touch kay ?

New Beginnings.

So this is my new blog. The one you can come to for all my uplifting and happy posts. This blog is going to be for happy thoughts , most updates , and things that inspire me. Such as cute craft ideas. Good quotes. Happy and funny thoughts from my day. Information on my life . My excitement over being engaged and eventually married.
